One-to-One & Group Maths and English Tutoring

Thirteen years of experience making Maths and English genuinely click — from Year 5 through GCSE, and into adulthood.

Who this is for
  • Primary and secondary pupils from Year 5, including KS2 SATs and 11+ preparation
  • GCSE students (AQA, Edexcel, and Eduqas) preparing for their exams
  • iGCSE students (Cambridge, Edexcel International, and Oxford AQA) preparing for their exams
  • Adult learners working towards Functional Skills qualifications
  • Teaching assistants looking to strengthen their own numeracy, in both primary and secondary settings
What makes this different

Every session runs on one belief: no one has the wrong kind of brain for Maths — it just needs the right explanation, in a safe, encouraging space where mistakes are part of learning, not something to fear. That comes from real experience:

  • Qualified Primary School Teacher, trained at UCL's Institute of Education — ranked the world's number one for Education for thirteen consecutive years
  • First-class degree in Education and Social Science, specialising in Mathematics, with an A grade at Master's level
  • Thirteen years of tutoring experience across every stage from Year 5 to adulthood, including delivering a Level 5 teacher training qualification in Maths to working teachers
How it works

1:1 Sessions

Fully tailored, one-on-one support at your own pace.

  • A safe learning environment where mistakes are welcomed, not feared
  • Feedback to parents after every single lesson
  • Personalised homework based on that lesson's content, to check true understanding

Every session is built on two principles: independence and confidence. Once you've got those two, you can do virtually anything.

Group Programme

12 weeks, 5–6 learners matched to your stage.

  • Mini video lessons, plus video marking and feedback
  • Termly 1:1 progress calls
  • A small community of learning buddies — often building lasting friendships along the way

Groups are matched by exam board and stage, so the content is just as targeted as 1:1, without losing that personal touch.

Testimonials

Since working with Elpi, we noticed her confidence growing and growing, and she soon started to make great progress... Elpi is incredibly knowledgeable as a teacher; her strength lies in the ability to think outside of the box, teaching concepts in multiple ways, which truly cements understanding.

Hannah M.

Elpi quickly assessed my daughter's strengths and areas for improvement, tailoring her lessons to focus on the topics she found most challenging... Thanks to Elpi's support and guidance, my daughter gained confidence in her abilities and successfully passed her GCSE Maths.

Paula O.

He also has autism, and Elpi has been so patient and encouraging to get the utmost best out of him... he has excelled in his knowledge and looks forward to seeing Elpi every time. That is no mean feat for a teenager asked to study!

Z.J.

She went up 2 grades between mocks and GCSEs in both Lit and language... Elpi was patient and found ways to teach my daughter when others weren't working.

Sam C.

She built my confidence and changed the way I think about things... Because of her support I applied for an electrician qualification, got my driving licence and even started my own car wash business which is already doing really well! She did not just teach me Maths and English - she changed my life.

Josh G.

We were genuinely disappointed when she moved away from London... Years later, when my son reached Year 10, I searched for her again... She tutored him online for another two years, proving that her ability to inspire and support students is just as effective remotely as it is in person.
